Riots Erupt in Ferguson, Missouri Following Rumors of 76ers Relocating There

Dozens, maybe even near a million, of people took to the streets last night in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson to tell the world what they really thought about the idea of the Philadelphia 76ers becoming the city’s basketball franchise.

Rioting, looting, a monk on fire, someone actually supporting the 76ers, and other horrific images were captured by news teams. The people of Ferguson are speaking loudly and they do not want the Sixers anywhere near their city.

The state militia has been called in to settle the rambunctious rowdy rebel rousers down. In addition to brute force, Sixers’ owner Joshua Harris held a press conference this afternoon apologizing to Ferguson–which he mispronounced.

“Win, lose, draw, lose again, or lose some more, the 76ers will to be changing cities anytime soon,” Harris assured. “We are not sure where these rumors started, but we are certainly grateful someone is talking about us.”
