LeSean McCoy Rushing Yardage Down – “Why Rush? Slow and Steady Wins the Race”

The 2014 season for Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has not been a very stellar one. His rushing yardage continues to trend downward and he has yet to have a game with 100 yards. Basically, if he used all of the yards he has gained this season he probably wouldn’t be able to go from one end of his giant home to the other.

Some are blaming the Aesop Fable “The Tortoise and the Hare” with inspiring McCoy to take his time whenever the ball his handed off to him.

“Why Rush? Slow and steady wins the race,” said McCoy to reporters earlier this week. “We are looking to win, aren’t we? I’m-a just take my time then.”

After reviewing tape of this week’s game against the San Francisco 49ers it is even more evident that McCoy may be dilly-dallying a little too much.

“There was one part in the third quarter when he actually broke out into a skip,” noticed 94 WIP morning host Rhea Hughes.

“If McCoy keeps this up I’m going to wear a Cowboys hat and blow Tony Romo!” yelled Angelo Cataldi. “I’ll really do it too! I will stick Romo’s little chode in my mouth and go North Dallas Forty on him.”

Nobody is quite sure if Cataldi was serious about blowing Romo however if it shuts him up, maybe it’s better if McCoy tears an ACL.
